The situation: Nick, a rising senior at a university in New York City has been forced to leave home after domestic violence abuse escalated.* He is a 3.9 major with multiple prestigious scholarships who intends to use this year to apply to graduate programs while finishing his first degree.
We are friends who want to assist in this difficult time. Since he was financially dependent on family for expenses not covered by scholarships, we are trying to raise some money to allow for him to focus on graduate school applications, as this is the most critical time in his undergraduate education. Expenses raised will cover food, transportation, tuition, a basic prepaid cell phone, counseling/therapy and any necessary medical costs.
