Magical Family Christmas

Donation protected
***Update as of August 12, 2014: Megan is now home and under the constant care of my parents, myself, and Hospice. It does not seem to be that we will be able to make this Disney dream a reality for Megan as she just does not have that kind of time left in her life. Thank you all so much for your support. It will be extremely helpful in making sure Megan has what she needs to enjoy her time with family. It has helped with her hospital transport to return home, it has provided her with Disney movies for her to watch as it is impossible for her to get out of bed, along with other comforts to help keep her as happy as possible and will conitune to do so as long as she is here.***

My little sister, Megan, was diagnosed with a Stage IV Glioblastoma in summer of 2012. She had her first surgery and suffered some disabilities due to the tumor. We hoped for  many years without seeing anything again, but in 2013 it reared its ugly head again. The new tumor inoperable, and since its development there has been more cancerous activity start around her brain stem. She suffers from major paralysis, double vision has started, and her overall condition continues to diminish as we try to fight this with everything that is available.

With all that being said, it is a fight and struggle 24/7 for my parents and sister. Unfortunately I'm not able to help as I work and go to school out of state, so I only see them on occasional visits, when I can afford them. I wish we had unlimited funds so I could take my sister all over the world, but I don't. However, through your generosity I would love to take my sister and family to Orlando for Christmas this year so that she can experience the pure MAGIC that is Disney World at Christmastime. I also want her to get to experience the new Harry Potter theme park, as it is a story she literally grew up with.

Her condition is not getting better, and I don't like the status updates I continually get from my parents. My sister may not get a chance to see the world and all its glory, but maybe we can, as a family, expereince the magic of Disney World together and hope that it brings my sister some peace and happiness through this ugly battle she is facing. She is a bright and optimistic young woman who deserves more than whatt he world has given her, let's turn it around and give her a Christmas at Disney that she will never forget.

Thank you.
