Please help with Emergency Surgery

For those of you who know us well you know that Decker is more than just our dog.  He is more like our child.  We would do anything for him and if we had an unlimited amount of money we would go to the ends of the earth to fix him.  Unfortunately the reality is like so many when an emergency arises like this we just don't have the immediate resources to financially take care of our little guy.  Decker has been dealing with some issues with a foreign body in his intestine.  On 07/25/14 he had surgery to remove the foreign body.  Through that surgery they discovered two perforated (little holes) areas in his intestine.  They managed to stich them up, but our vet advised that he should be placed on 24 hour care to make sure they stayed closed up.  Unforunately they did not.

At 5AM on 07/26/14 we received a call from the animal hospital notifing us that they discovered that there was leakage and that it would require a 2nd surgery to save his life.  It is horrible that at a time of such sadness we had to think about whether our child should live or die, but we ultimately decided that if there was a good chance to save him we would do what we can.  

Unfortunately Decker's body just couldn't handle a 2nd surgery and we had to make the difficult decision to let him go.  We have not felt such devestation before, but the love and friendship Decker gave us will stay with us forever.  We hope our little guy is at peace and is no longer in pain.
