Co-Op Carpet Fundraiser

The Elgin Parent Co-Op was founded in 1970 by a group of dedicated parents. Since then the community they built has grown, flourished and enriched families lives for almost 45 years. This year we are faced with a daunting challenge and we are calling on our alumni to help us in any way they can. The building we occupy was tested for radon gas and we learned we were operating in unacceptably high levels. Our landlords (First Presbyterian Church) thankfully decided to mitigate the radon from the building. This required us to pack up the entire school and rip up our carpet in order for trenches to be dug to ventilate the radon gas. Because of our wonderful team of parents and friends we completed this task with time to spare. However now it is time to replace the carpet, which will cost us up to $5,600. An expense like that could cripple our non-for-profit parent run preschool. So as a former member, friend or family member who believes in our cause we are asking for anything you can spare to help keep us afloat through this unforeseen event.
