On Monday, a fire tore through our apartment building, destroying several homes. Our unit was badly damaged -- the ceiling collapsed in our kitchen, and the rest of our possessions have been virtually destroyed by smoke.
As of now, no one is allowed in the building, and it will take months to make all the necessary repairs. Thankfully, no one was hurt. But all tenants, including us, were left with only the possessions they had with them on the day of the fire.
We are currently staying with friends, but soon we'll be looking to sublet a place. When we're allowed back inside our apartment, we'll be looking to salvage what we can, and re-furnish what we can't. People have been asking how they could help, so we decided to set up this funding page.
It means so much to have these amazing friends in these tough times. Thank you all for your overwhelming love and support.
