Send Me to get my Doctorate!

So who am I?
I am a father. I am a husband. I am a military veteran. I used to work in the cell tower industry. I have installed television. I have worked on fresh water boat docks. I have folded newspapers. I have been a contractor. I have travelled the country doing different jobs. I have sold electronics. I have been Santa Claus in Buffalo, NY because I was broke, and ended up loving it.

The point is I am an ordinary guy who is trying to reach for his stars and dreams.

I am a fellow who is trying to set an example for his kid, and get an education to provide for my family in ways I cannot currently. To make a better home, and provide my own child an awesome education as well. To bring the experience of being "one of the little people" to business, and academia. To have a secure financial future through achievement.

After presenting a research proposal, I have been accepted at Grenoble Ecole de Management in Grenoble, France to achieve my Doctorate in Business Administration. My research is in information technology Project Management and business strategy. Globally, information technology based projects have the highest failure rate in the project management industry. I want to not only fix it, I want to try to develop a new methodology, and educate towards that methodology.

Why Grenoble instead of an American school? The school's DBA program is one of eight Doctoral programs in the world to be accredited by AMBA, and is one of the few management schools worldwide awarded the prestigious "Triple Crown" (accreditations by EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA) which distinguishes leading international institutions in business education.

Furthermore, they are one of the only, accredited institutions that allow one to pursue a doctoral education while still pursuing ones current career. In other words, I will be a full time student and a full time worker.

With the exchange rate on a 5-year program, it will cost me $79,500 in tuition.

The first $5,000 plus travel costs are needed by September of 2014

I have to travel to Grenoble November 24 - November 29th for class and research work.

After that, I travel on 5 occasions to California State University Northridge.

I return to Grenoble two more times afterward for Thesis presentation work.

How do I do that?

So far, I have been able to do it on my own, doing exactly that. My military time paid for $7,000 of my education while I attended University of Phoenix (at the time they were one of the only accredited schools where one could attend on line). I built off that and with my own money; I have made it all the way through my Masters of Science in Project Management from Missouri State University through their distance-learning program.

Nevertheless, I do not want to stop. Nor do I want to be one of the folks saddled with 200k in debt.

Therefore, I am being honest. I am asking folks to give me a hand. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to do this so aside from you get the "feel good" knowledge that your helping a guy get his advanced education so that he can try to do some good in the world for both himself and an entire industry.

I'll even go a step further and sell myself: if a company or employer is willing to foot this, and my (currently self paid and not delinquent) past student loans, I'll sign a term based contract to work for them provided I don't make any less than my current salary.

So what do ya'll say? Anyone out there willing to throw a bone or grant to help a person accomplish a dream and lead by example to his kid?
