Sam's Surgeries

Hi, I'm Sam. I'm a long-haired dachshund and absolutely love to run and jump and defend my home from squirrels and all manner of other dangerous critters. But I recently hurt my back so badly that I can't walk any more. My devoted humans, Rich and Deb, rushed me to the emergency room. The doc told them that, unfortunately, I'd have to have an MRI and then surgery on my spine; which I guess costs thousands of dollars. I thought it would be a tough decision for them since Rich just retired (probably just to spend more time with me - his best buddy!!), but they wanted me to get better, so off to surgery I went. I was a good boy, but didn't get better despite doing my best and eating as well as I could – usually one of my best talents. It didn't really hurt back there, but I’m guessing that no feeling at all can’t be a good thing; and I can't urinate on my own. I couldn't even wag to show how happy I was to see them. So, the docs said I had to go back for another MRI and more surgery. We did all that and have more treatments to come. This could take a while. If I knew what money was, I’m pretty sure I’d be worried, because I think this’ll be a lot of… Whatever it is. Rich and Deb are so good to me. Rich has allowed 6 of us dachshunds to rescue him over the years. And he's helped so many other dachsies to rescue other humans by volunteering for dachshund rescue organizations (bet you didn't know we rescued so many humans). I'm really hoping you'll help by donating something to help pay for my excellent medical care and also to help me get better (urinating on my own would be a good thing) and maybe even walk and run again. After all, Rich and Deb can't defend the house from squirrels and other dangerous critters all by themselves.
