Hello, I'm Li! I'm a sixteen-year-old artist living in Rhode Island who identifies as transgender. 

I have been out as transgender for three years now, and it hasn't been an easy road. Getting HRT took over a year, and what I need now is a double-mastectomy or top surgery. My insurance doesn't cover it, and I need to raise about 10,000 dollars to cover the surgery costs and aftercare. 

I have made some really poor choices in trying to raise money when I was younger, and now that I have a job, most of my paychecks go to surgery. A lot of the time I feel helpless over whether or not I can control my transition. I've been harassed and outed, and I've switched high schools three times. I want to feel comfortable in my body so that I can focus on the rest of my life. 

Every little bit helps, and even if your donation is just a dollar, it gives me hope that people really do care. Thank you so much.
