My Special Needs Daughter.

Very sad!! I had to put our dog "Cheeka" to sleep. She was Monique's companion. We are in desparate need of donations. My youngest Monique  is special needs. She is Autisic, mentally and physically challenge, seizures, hydrocephalus (water on the brain). She has been thru so much in her 23 yrs. of life. To look at her, she looks like a 12 yrs old. She is a miracle to be still with us. She has suffered a stroke ( in which she had to learn to walk and eat all over again) menigitis, spent 3 months in the hospital. 2 yrs. ago suffered a broken knee falling down the school bus stairs, as the bus driver sat and watched her, never getting up to help her. The scratches you see on her face. She got attached at a day program and the staff stood by and did nothing to stop it or even call me at home. She was sent home like nothing happened. So after this she is home with me 24/7. She gets so frustrated at times with all the energy she has, that she doesn't know how to release it. Looking into new therapies to help release the energy and just get out more socially. She will only go as far as the house to my car. With the broken leg and attack to her face she has withdrawn and doesn't like to be around others. I'm trying to give her the best life possible but with bills (medical) piling up, it's hard. I'm her sole care provider. She loves to go for rides but with gas prices, I have to limit them. She will bring me the keys and my wallet. She is nonverbal but gets her point accross. She can stay up for days on days. Her mentally is that of a 2yrs old.Having a special needs child can be at times very overwhelming, frustrating and tiring.



But Monique's needs and wants come first, nothing else matters. She is my baby, my life my everything!! This is an old pic, but it is very hard for her to sit still for a pic as she has gotten older. Now I'm having my own medical problems. I'm being tested for colon cancer. Going thru alot of testing. Really scare right now, since my dad passed away from this 3 yrs. ago. I could go on and on with all we have been thru. We just need help with all the cost month to month.She is on a special diet. Can only eat soft foods, nothing hard or crunchy. I'm not one to ask for help but I have no where else to turn. So I'm asking, we need help.  We never get out of the house unless it's for a doctors app.  Never enough money to go around.
