Last Resort for the Mariano Family

Hi everybody. My name is Cory Mariano. Im 22 years old and the proud son of Kim Mariano and brother to two beautiful young women, Casey (16) and Cara (14) (respectively, in the photo). Well, this is our last resort. My father walked out several months ago because he no longer felt like supporting his family. Alcohol was more important to him than his wife and children. We have scrounged money, borrowed money, paid money, done absolutely everything possible to keep the roof over our heads and food on the table. I've taken an eviction and moved back home in order to emotionally support them and physically protect them after he came back to the house and attacked the entire family, again, because of alcohol. He has managed to drag us through court on his own terms and constantly continues hearings to avoid being made to pay a dime for the three of those women you see in the picture. July 23rd was supposed to be our final straw, where we could finally receive a court order forcing him to pay. Well, he's managed to drink himself into unemployment after leaving and then tried to take us back to court to get an order relieving him of any support obligation. The hearing has again been continued so we must wait longer to get so much as a worthwhile cent from him. I drive two hours to work each shift to make sure I can put food on the table for them, but that just hasn't been enough. We've now reached the point where our electric and phones will be shut off and are unable to pay the mortgage. I couldn't care less about the phones, but the electricity is something I feel obligated to keep going. Unfortunately, I can't do it anymore. The money has dried up. I'm fighting for more jobs, despite the fact that means being away from them even longer. I've never, ever asked for money from people without the intention of paying it back in full and paying it forward afterwards. This, however, shakes my foundation. I realize times are tight and I realize most people are not any better off than we, but if there is any possibility you could help even just in a small amount, I would be eternally greatful. This is, unfortunately, the last short-term fix I can think of to get us through until the court system manages to come through for us. Every single cent from this account will go directly to Dominion Power and Verizon Wireless. Heck, I'll even update the account with recepits to prove it. I could never ask for money with false intentions and sure could never take it from strangers under a false pretense. Please, if there is even just a dollar you can spare, it will put a smile on those ladies' faces and that's all I have ever wanted. Please, count your blessings and hold those close to you closer.
