I have decided to start a Shave it or Save it campain to help a little girl very close to my heart. She has the most amazing family in the world and I would do anything to help them.
Even Shave my head !
Each $5.00 donation will allow you to vote to Shave It or Save It.
September 7th will be the last day to vote. September 8th I will abide by what the votes call for and possibly shave my head bald.
Here is her story-
Maya Kinney is a 13 year old girl with a severe case of adolescent scoliosis. On July 7th, 2014 they received the news that she will need major surgery. Rods will need to be inserted to straighten her out. The upper curve in her spine is nearly 60 degrees and starting to affect her quality of life. Her tentative surgery date is December 2014. The surgery is anywhere from 8-12 hours and will require a 7-10 day stay in ICU once complete. The surgery itself (without room, ICU, anesthesiology, etc.) will cost upwards of $150,000.
