Sending Troops 2 C Katy Perry

Here is WHY A Rose of Thanks is doing this.  Katy has a message in some of her songs about being positive, those who inspire us to be great,  and to Live In This Moment because tomorrow is not promised and yesterday is history.  Our troops, their Families, our veterans and the sacrifices they make or have made for our country is WHY we are doing this. 

It all started with an Article published for A Rose of Thanks,  a nonprofit I started to support our troops.   It was orginally published in the Charlotte Observer. The message of the article was simple enough we would donate 2 tickes to send troops to see Katy Perry in Raleigh, NC.  

Stars and Stripes  picked up the article and a veteran from Abiliene TX called and said he a buddy serving in Afghanistan.  He also said his buddy named his truck Katy. he said I saw your article in Stars and Stripes online & I think it would be cool to send him to the show. 
I said let's do it and by the end of he week we were sending about 12 Soldiers, Veterans, and family members to see the last show in Houston on October 11, 2014.

This is going to be a memorable day,  1st we are going to take them dinner at Hard Rock Cafe and then on to see Katy in concert on for the last night of the tour.  We have a few more surpirses planned but do not want them to know about.
