Will and Grace's Rescue Fund

On Thursday July 17th I arrived home to find that my ex-husband had dumped our 2 beautiful sweet amazing German Shorthaired Pointers in my backyard. He REFUSED to give me the dogs when we split up, because he "loved" them so much.

As a result, these sweet babies have been severely neglected over the last 2 years and they are in life threatening condition. Their condition was so bad that my daughter, who grew up with these dogs, did not even recognize them.

I took them both to the vet on Saturday and to start with they both have severe skin infections, ear infections in both ears, they are seriously malnourished and dehydrated.  Gracie has multiple masses on her mammary glands, which may or may not be malignant, we won't know until they are removed.  Will was literally swarming with fleas and lice, and has a mass on his hind leg that will need to be removed and biopsied....and they haven't even done blood work yet :(

I have started this fund because the veterinary costs involved in caring for these sweet babies, even with help from the amazing people at St. Francis Animal Hosptial, is quickly spiraling well beyond my capacity to afford it.

I am a very proud person and I loathe asking anyone for help, but my choices are to give them up to animal control, who have already said that given the condition they are in they would most likely have to put them down, or ask for donations.....I can't let them put my babies down...they didn't do anything to deserve this.

Also, I just want everyone to know that any money that is not used for the medical care and rehabilitation of the babies will be donated to St. Francis Animal Hospital.
