Help the 2014 US Parachute Team! (CF,SA)
Dear family, friends, and fellow jumpers,
I need your help. As one of the team managers and a member of the delegation of the United States Parachute Team competing in the 2014 World Parachuting Championships in Bosnia and Herzegovina in August, I have taken up the task of helping offset the team’s expenses by conducting this fundraiser.
In many countries, the national team is funded directly by the government, but this is not the case in the U.S. Therefore, the United States Parachute Team must instead rely on sponsorships (which usually only partially cover certain gear or training jumps) and a small sum from the U.S. Team Trust Fund. This means that most competitors end up paying large sums out of pocket not only to attend the World Championships, but also to devote a year or more of training to becoming the best representatives they can be for the United States. This year’s trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina to represent the United States will be very expensive, and each competitor is sacrificing a lot to represent our sport, our skydivers, and our nation.
Whoever shared this link with you is asking you personally to make a donation to the team. Your donation will go directly to the CF and S&A teams and NOT to the U.S. Team Trust Fund; it will not cover any administrative costs but will be utilized solely for the team's travel to the World Championships.
Donations of ANY size are appreciated. Large donations are of course incredibly helpful, but there is also enormous power in many smaller donations from our extended (and extensive) skydiving family. It would mean so much to see familiar names and faces appear on this page in our donor list!

The canopy formation (CF) and style and accuracy (SA) events are being held in Bosnia and Herzegovina; this fundraiser is for the members of those teams.
