Buzz for Bridget

Donation protected

The Fire Fighters of Station 66 in Dunrobin, a proud part of the Ottawa Fire Service, are raising funds for Bridget Rose. Our young lady who lives in Dunrobin has stolen our hearts, and we are determined to help her and her family any way we can. "Buzz for Bridget" is our effort to ensure that Bridget does not feel that losing some hair is such a bad thing, and to prove this, we will lose ours.

Please sponsor us with any money you can spare, as we will be buzzing our heads on Saturday August 17th at the Kinburn Community Center. The "cut" will take place during our Car Wash, along side our Partner for this day, the West Carleton Soccer Association as they hold their year end tournament at the Center.

For those who do not know, Bridget (age 6) was taken to CHEO (The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario) on Monday, June 17th. She was diagnosed with Wilms' Tumor... kidney cancer. Wilms' tumor or nephroblastoma is cancer of the kidneys that typically occurs in children, rarely in adults.

Bridget had a scan on June 18th and unfortunately, the cancer has spread to Bridget's lung and lymph nodes. Please keep this precious baby girl in your prayers.
