Little Man's Medical Bills

Little Man and his sister Baby Bear came to me when they were 2 weeks old. They seemed like normal healthy kittens and were very active. Not long after weaning to solid food Little Man started having gastrointestinal issues that made it very difficult for him to gain weight. X-rays ruled out a blockage and his bloodwork was normal so we tried different foods until we found ONE that didn't make him sick - Royal Canin Hypoallergenic PR which is very expensive . For the most part he did very well after that and only had minor issues when he ate foods other than his own.

Shortly after he turned 1 he had a severe illness that resulted in him being hospitalized at Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services for 5 days. A multitude of tests were done and biopsies of his GI tract led us to a diagnosis of lymphoma.

On 7/15/14 he turned 2. Right now he is doing well. His symptoms are being effectively managed with steroids and his special diet but at some point in the future it may become necessary to start chemotherapy treatments. 

I have been working very hard to pay off his medical bills while still keeping up with my everyday expenses. I have both a full-time and a part-time job and have been working overnight shifts for overtime but his food is very expensive so my progress is slow. I still owe about $5,000 combined to the specialist and his primary vet.

Little Man and I have a very close bond. He follows me around the house, loves to perch on my shoulder and his favorite place to curl up is my lap. He is my baby. Please help me keep my Little Man healthy and give him the best quality of life for as long as possible.
