HELP ME GET TO MY NANA'S FUNERAL

My mom, Rachel Dropkin (who is 68), is in hospice ready to pass on from a difficult battle with kidney cancer that has spread to her brain and spine and lungs.  We live in Austin, Texas; she's in Boca Raton, Florida with her husband, Larry.

Three weeks ago (4th of July weekend) she was rushed to Delray Medical hospital due to severe complications from her chemo treatment, wherein she almost died, and we had to make an emergency trip out there.  My husband, Steve, works as a computer contractor, and so has no vacation time, and spent a lot of money for all of us to go out there (we have two kids 7 and 2) to see her and say goodbye.  

To our delight she stabilized a couple of days later and was transported to rehab to get her walking again; but her condition deteriorated drastically after we left, and she was put back into the hospital due to complications of her cancer.

As of yesterday she was placed into hospice (Hospice by the Sea) because Rachel's lungs are unable to get enough oxygen, she can hardly breathe, and her doctor (as of 7/23) was giving a matter of days or hours before she passed on.

Today her husband, Larry, told us she wants to try to see us and the grandkids one more time.  We can go, but it will cut into my husband's work because of the driving (plane tickets are very expensive short notice).  We want to stay until she passes and then for the memorial service that is being planned the weekend after she passes (so the whole family can arrive).

We need about $2500 to cover expenses to drive there, cover hotel, rent-a-car (our cars can't take much more), food, then come back. My husband will get some money this Tuesday (payday), but it's our rent check and it's greatly diminished because we were in Florida two weeks ago.
