Brown Dolls For Brown Children

AfroLatino Travel, Crioya Global Movement and Panamerican Shipping Services are collaborating to collect donations of brown dolls for Afrodescendant children in the Afrodescended provinces of Bocas del Toro & Colón in Panama from May 26- September 1, 2014.
Brown dolls, generally aren’t available in stores in Latin American regions and this is extremely problematic. The market is flooded with dolls that do not represent the majority of the population and representation and imagery matters especially in the development of children.
Doll donations will be accepted throughout the NYC area through the summer, but for those not local, you can support the campaign with your monetary donations that will be used for purchasing more dolls.
