Brother-In-Law Has Stage 4 Cancer

Approximately a week before Thanksgiving, my brother-in-law had an accident at work in wich a very large concrete block fell on his hand and it degloved his thumb. In order to save his thumb and re-attach it, they had to cut a hole in his abdomen and place the thumb partially inside him ....and to fight the infection he had to have leeches attatched around the area of the opening for a few days.
About 3 or 4 weeks later he went back to the Dr. in Springfield,Il to have his thumb removed from his stomach and the Dr. told Jerry that he had Stage 4 Lung Cancer. This type of cancer is uncurable and rapidly grows throughout the body. The only thing they can do for this type of cancer is chemotherapy, and they say even with chemotherapy he has only 2-10 months to be with us.
I've only known Jerry for a little over 2 years and have been his brother-in-law for a little over 1. He has been in my wife's family for 21 years and is very loved. Jerry is a quiet man and I know for a fact that he likes mushroom hunting and deer sausage, but aside from the little things in life that I know Jerry likes, I can see that Jerry loves his family. And my goal here to raise money for Jerry is to ease ANY stress of ANY kind on him and his wife.
I know that Jerry has medical insurance, but he has to pay $174.00 every 2 weeks to keep his medical insurance going. Jerry and his wife also have travel expenses for Dr appointments, living expenses, ect,ect.
Jerry doesn't know that I am trying to raise money to ease his stresses in this time. In fact,when I had to enter a dollar amount to raise, I tried to type the word "comfort"........it wouldn't let me. My goal is to raise anything that can comfort Jerry and his family.
