Hi Friend,
I am thrilled to announce that I am one of the newest members of Cheer New York, NYC’s “Cheerleaders for Charity!”
Cheer New York (Cheer NY) is an all-volunteer adult cheerleading squad dedicated to helping our community raise money and awareness for people in need. In addition to performing at large charity events such as the AIDS Walk and Walk To End Alzheimer’s, Cheer NY has created a grant called the “Cheer for Life” fund to help small local organizations offer their much needed services to people in our community.
Throughout the year, Cheer NY collects donations for our “Cheer for Life Fund” from our generous audiences dazzled by our performances and extreme stunts. This grant is given to 1 or 2 local charities each year. Our current recipients are Bailey House - services and prevention programs for young people living with HIV/AIDS and Restore NYC – safe houses and services for women who are victims of sex trafficking.
In the past few years, Cheer NY has helped raised over $64,000! However, in order to do this great work, each team member has to pay for uniforms, equipment, and other supplies. This is where YOU come in. To be fully equipped (and looking cute!), I will need to raise $475.
I hope you will consider making a contribution. Any amount will help, whether it be: $20, $50 or $100.
For every $10 you donate, I will send a personal video of me doing a 1 backflip. The more you donate, the more flips I do. (Take that Ice Bucket Challenge!)
