Gladstone High School Quiz Bowl

The 2015-2016 GHS Quiz Bowl club is seeking your help to pay for practice questions, t-shirts, and travel expenses.  This year the practice questions will cost $200 and we will be purchasing them from NAQT . We would also like to purchase t-shirts for the club which we anticipate will cost about $200.  Any remaining money will be used to pay for travel and snacks during practices or scrimmages. 

The GHS Quiz Bowl club is composed any students who enjoy trivia.   GHS students give up their lunch hours to practice.  Tryouts are held for the four slots and two alternate slots to determine who will compete in the games.  We compete in the High School Bowl series which is produced and aired on WNMU (Public T.V. 13). The game is a fast-paced competition between two schools' four-person teams.   Our whole club travels to Marquette for each game to cheer on our competitors and get ready to someday take their spot on the stage.

Our club is thirteen members strong this year and will be competing for the first time on November 6th.  Our game will be aired on January 9th at 8:00pm, so be sure to watch!

This year we also plan to compete in the NMU Fall Quiz Bowl Tournament.  So, your donation will also help us to pay for travel expenses to Marquette.
