Making TJ's 420 ALTERNATIVES COME ALIVE

The story of my son Tim's battle (added at the end) & what inspired us to build a foundation, a stepping stone for others that are now walking in our shoes.  Bringing the most amazing, most talked about 420 Head Shop to surface > "TJ's 420 Extreme Alternatives"
At my sons passing in July 2012 we were in early stages making a business plan for TJ's (Tim's Journey).  Realisistically we wanted to open London first then Woodstock, Kitchener, Hamilton, Vaughn, Strathroy, Sarnia, Mississauga, Barrie, Windsor & Niagra Falls over 6yr span or as many as possible once data research/specs was completed on each territory.

WHAT MAKES TJ'S UNIQUE??
EVERY TJ's location will be divided into 3 sections:
SECTION 1
             420 Section
         A 420 section where all your needs will be met or special ordered.  This means this department will cover every aspect of of your 420 needs be a medical patient or recreational user.  In our 420 section our knowledgeable staff will help you with your selections including easy to read labelled "seed zone" identifying ailments & diseases that particular strain assists.  You will never need to feel like your question doesn't matter cause every question is a good question. We completely understand the use of 420 is not limited in any way to strickly Cancer care.  Please ask us about your condition or one of a loved one that concerns you. From pipes to bongs to vaporizors to novelties and every item in between.  This section will also included my soon to be released book "Medical Cannabis 101 for the Beginner or Advanced Seasoned Vetran" We will also be doing referrals to assisting with medical patients get initial signature or renewal signature in compliance with Health Canadas rules/regulations.

SECTION 2
     A Cancer Awareness section with a "Wall of Hero's"
In this section our awareness specialist will assist in literature, referrals to "Alternative" treatment plans & locations (incl costs if any).  We will have merchandise to honor all those we know who have fought, won or lost their battle from ALL cancer fields.  We will have an "by appointment only" based on income "counselling" by a licensed "Alternative Therapist" (not your typical lay on the couch spill your guts session).  We will have a certified licensed Dietician available to discuss vital diet changes.  We will have a certified Meditation Therapist who can assist with lifestyle changes & mounting stress.  There will also be a 24hr emergency number for those who are battling, are care givers, or associated with a loved one battling or lost. Moral support is vital during such a trying time & we understand that clearly.
Our "Wall of Hero's" will be for ANYONE wishing to post a pic of their loved one who has survived, battling or lost their fight.  

SECTION 3
  Complete line of Hemp Products
  Hemp is used for many varieties of products including the manufacture of cordage of varying tensile strength, durable clothing and nutritional products. In this section you will have to chose from fiber/seed products to a hemp-based cosmeceutical product line for skin and body care. We will be adding in an entire food line in about 3 months (January 2015).  Grand Opening planned for Oct 10/14.  Our Hemp specialist will assist with your purchases, including giving any history required to fully understand our products & how they're made.  Our exclusive line of clothing will incl tops/bottoms/outerwear/beachwear & accessories.  

IN ADDITION:
Overall TJ's will also hold a "membership card" incentive.  There are various ways to obtain the yrly card.  Good for exactly one yr from date you receive it (NOT Jan to Dec). This membership card will allow the holder many perks such as "before the public knowledge" on in store specials, regular, wkly or monthly additional discounts on all merchandise before taxes, ALWAYS 2 for 1 bongs, birthday discount of 50%, NO name will ever be revealed but thru POS system & ur member ID number we will know how much you've (accumulated) spent over time & the higher you go the higher your discount becomes, use your card for free shipping over $100,  when special ordering (no deposit required) for membership holders, email exclusives, & feature daily discounts that will be posted every morning on upcoming website.
In addition TJ's will hold regular meetings every other month for events, news, upcoming 420 visitors, upcoming seminars, and any new ideas people would like to see included.
We will hold regular events to raise "donated" funds to assist (based on income & priority) a percentage for "ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT" to allow the best quality of life to those who suffer & can not otherwise afford it on their own.

TJ's 420 EXTREME Alternatives is not going to be OUR family business BUT the communities voice, the communities vision, an individuals stepping stone, an individual or families last resort.  We will never misrepresent ourselves as an individual we are not and all certified/licensed colleaugues will have their credentials on display for your own research & comfort.  We will never sugar coat anything we say & give you all info we currently have on a particular subject.  Our friendly specialists will be in constant training, always being sent to seminars, fairs & events related to bring back the most innovative updated "ALTERNATIVE" techniques available.  
Please consider helping my son allow his last wishes to come alive.  I had a partner that was assisting with opening costs & all the plans in the works were steaming forward but my partner is now facing extreme family trauma of their own.  I have my share ($$) but now lacking the support of my partners share. My sons goal was to help others, not suffer the way he did, not hit the road blocks our family did, not be denied due to loss of his job once diagnosed. MY SON TIM'S STORY
       Tim was raised by me alone with his younger siblings.  Tim was a thriving high school graduate who worked fulltime as a bricklayer.  Being a mere 24yrs old himself & having a 4 yr old daughter at time of diagnosis Tim was determined thru life's hurdles this wasn't going to stop him either, even tho long term meant only weeks to live.   **Tim outwit his doctors and battled almost 2 full yrs.
So Nov 10 2010 is when we heard for the first time the confirmation of Tim having Stage 2 Melanoma Cancer. The fastest spreading and hardest to control Skin Cancer out there. Nov 17 2010 we saw a Specialist Nov 26 2010 we saw the surgeon and his first operation was booked for Dec 8 2010. The surgery went well but just before the surgery it was discovered the cancer was already spreading into other areas of Tim's body so instead of just going in to remove the skin around the initial mole site to get the required "margin free zone" he also had his right side Pelvic Lymph Nodes removed. Surgery was successful.. got the margin free zone required and out of the 13 Lymph nodes removed 4 were Malignant and an additional one ruptured deep into his tissue just before the surgery. Pushing Tim up to Stage 3 Melanoma.

Tim came home with a drainage bag stitched into his leg and had a daily home nurse come in and train me to drain & clean the incision sites back and leg. Tim lost ALL feeling in his upper leg/thigh area *and never regained feeling* Tim had some rehabilitation therapy to walk with the unco-ordinated balance of no feeling and quickly was able to walk using just a cane. The drainage bag was supposed to stay in for up to 3months but Tim recovered so well it was removed Dec 31 2010 barely over 3 wks after surgery. In January 2011 Tim started a 4 month very rigorous DAILY High dose IV Chemo Therapy at the Cancer clinic that would take literally all day 5 to 7hrs and within a half hr of returning home (which I pretty much made him move back in with me cause he was now on medical leave had drained most of his savings and no one would help him financially and I could not afford to keep 2 homes going) but within 30 mins of getting home Tim would be asleep for the rest of the day/night... He would wake screaming and I mean screaming in pain, sweating so bad I'd have to change his bed and cold cloth him down (you could literally ring his undershirt and sweat would just pour from it.. it was needless to say NASTY) This went on like this for the first 3 weeks and Tim started getting use to treatment as well treatments started getting shorter and was only there 3 to 5 hrs and he would manage to stay awake from a short period to a couple hrs before he just couldn't keep his eyes open.. the side effects slowly lessened but new ones started like nightmares, feeling like he was being suffocated, ripping pains thru his body and his body would literally seize up to the point his body was stuck in position stiff and I would have to massage his legs and arms to get circulation going if he could even handle me touching him... these would happen with no warning and would wake him from his deep sleep at ANY time thru the evening and during the night.. Imagine being woken to a curdling scream of your adult child in so much pain he can't even speak words and sometimes not even know he was awake.
At the end of Tim's 4 months his treatments were down to 3/4hrs each per day and he was staying awake alot more and even getting out to see some friends. When Chemo was finished he had a 2 week break and went straight into a 5 week high dose daily Radiation treatment where the pros and cons were pretty heartbreaking... Radiation was not near as bad as Chemo. Tim was alert active and nothing could stop him EXCEPT it burnt him reallllly bad He still had scars and bald area where hair never grew again. His Radiation doctor was not great she left A LOT of key things out in prepping Tim on what to expect. Very personal things he would live with forever. Immediately following Tim's last Radiation appt he went straight into a 48 week course of 3 needles a week by self injection at home to the tune of $3361.35/month.
We still had his nurse Ashley coming regularly and she trained me with everything I needed to know for when she wasn't here.
June 14th Tim was on needle 2 of week 4 of 48 wks of self inject Inferon A high dose Chemo Therapy... Reason for the Chemo being stopped was Tim discovered another concerning lump which turned out to be the Cancer had spread into his left side pelvic Lymph nodes.. July 14 2011 was his surgery. So this operation once again ~ same as the one before on the right side Pelvic Lymph nodes he was cut from hip to 3/4's of the way down to his knee and came home with a drainage bag stitched into his leg for up to 3months. It had to be draining less than 30mm of blood in a 24hr period in order for it to be
removed. Tim had A LOT of trouble with this drainage bag and several trips to the hospital. Then a stitch came out leaving Tim's leg gaped open and cause for concern with infection. Tim had a lot more difficulty learning his balance this time with no feeling now in the upper/thigh area of BOTH legs and that he would NEVER EVER get the feeling back.
In Aug 2011 they sent Tim for routine follow up scans and tests and due to a lack of/miss communication that we have now received an apology from the hospital for ~ we never got the news of the results until Nov 15 2011
The Cancer has spread again... They then sent Tim for extensive tests over the next 3 weeks and on Dec 14th we found out Tim was now a Stage 4 Matastatic melanoma meaning he still has skin Cancer but it's now spreading thru his body ~ this time it has attacked his bones and liver. Surgery is OUT of the question as to operate they would literally have to amputate both legs. So on that same day Tim signed a release form to have his Tumor tissue sent to California to be tested for the BRAF mutation gene. Hoping and praying for a "positive" on the test as we had been researching and applied to enter a Clinical trial. The drug Vemurafenib has been FDA approved in the USA BUT NOT available in Canada except by "Special Access" namely this trial.  Before Tim could start the trial he had to have all scans redone to get an accurate dose of medication based on tumour size/growth. Tuesday January 31 we went into the Cancer Clinic excited to start the Trial only to have our world crash down.
In one month 7 large tumours have developed on & in his brain. Without immediate Radiation he has 2 weeks and with Radiation 2months+ if he responds well

Wednesday February 1st we meet with the new radiation doctor who explained there are also several spots in his lungs that are also being watched and have been for the past 3 months yet NO ONE informed us of this! Needless to say this is NOT ACCEPTABLE and we scoured for an alternative method of treatment.  We were told about the Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) & the documentary "Run from the Cure"

We sought out this oil & Tim began taking it.  On his next scan not much was noticed but some improvement was there.  2 months later even more improvement was seen & the doctors at the London cancer clinic became a bit "stand offish" because we wouldn't share what we were doing but simply state "Alternative" treatment.  Finally in March 2012 we told Tim's Oncologist what he was doing for treatment.  One doctor was all for it the other doctor moreless shunned us for not using "traditional medicine"  This same doctor became extremely hostile to the point we had to ask for him to be removed from my sons team of doctors.  In June when my sons seizures were seemingly out of control due to brain tumors we made an additional trip to the private clinic in Toronto.  Back home in London BEHIND MY BACK the doctors convinced Tim to stop his RSO & try "this new drug"  EIGHT days later they stopped it & asked for a meeting with family. This doctor sat in our faces & told us straight. "The drug is KNOWN to progress brain tumors.... BUT in your sons case it rapidly progressed from 7 to 17.  We are stopping all treatments, and for the 4th time we heard "Go home, get your affairs in order." That was on the Wednesday, Thursday Tim went out for dinner with one of his best friends Jessika.  Fri he didn't feel so well Saturday he was suppose to have an annual photo done with his baby girl Destiny but he couldn't move.  I had Father D'Sa come to our home from our church & give Tim the Sacrament of the Sick.. He did a full confession, & cleansed Tim's apt/in law suite.  That night Tim asked me as I was laying with him rubbing his head if I knew his passwords n stuff.. I asked him what he was talking about.. he just said you know my bank my email.... I said ya but don't talk like that & he began to whimper & told me "Mom it's time"  In shock I gasp, then Tim asked me to call him an ambulance.  I called & there forward was in humane.  Tim was left unmonitored (other than by me) out in the hallway.  He was listed as "Pallative" & they just didn't give a shyt!!!! For 5 long hrs Tim laid on a stretcher in the hallway screaming in pain from the pressure on his brain.  When my nerves started taking toll I began to get very vocal & almost instantly they moved Tim into a "pod" for treatment.  Once back there tho NOTHING changed.  Tim continued to scream in pain I was literally waiting for anyone to say anything and I knew it would be my snapping point.  3 hrs later a nurse asked has he been given anything for pain? NO!!! In about an hr finally they brought him some pain meds.  Then every 30mins they drugged him some more into a drug induced coma.  Scans were repeated and low & behold NO Cancer any where except the brain, both sides of his Iilium CLEAN, over 100 tumors in the lungs > GONE!!!! Liver, kidneys all clear NOTHING & 17 down to 13 brain tumors from being back on the RSO oil.  
In the wee hrs of the morning they finally moved Tim upstairs to the ward. At one point I left the room to go meet Tim's brother to show him how to find the room to come back to a PSW sitting at the foot of Tim's bed.. I got excited & asked "Did he wake up?"  To be smacked a reality thought.. "NO but he's not being monitored so if you leave the room again please tell the nurse" First time I was asked & that caused me to fly into a fury of questions as to why? but NO ONE would give me those answers.  Later that night I took a pic of his drug induced coma not realizing it would be the last pic I ever took of my handsome son.  At around 10pm July1st Tim sat up in his hospital bed fully sedated in a drug induced coma & recited almost the entire Lord's Prayer word for word.  I settled into bed on a fold out chair right beside Tim's hospital bed to be awaken at 2:32am July 2nd from Tim's breathing.  He was in "DISTRESS" He was gasping for air, his skin was mottled & when the nurse finally showed up in his room from my screams for help his blood pressure was unheard of 290/185.  I left the room as flocks of doctors/nurses and machines came flying down the hall to a Code Blue.  I left the room in a panic cause I didn't want to see what they were doing to next thing I know I have 6 security guards on me trying to get me to sit down & "be patient"  All I was doing was trembling trying to dial telephone numbers on my cell to alert Tim's siblings.  Tim ended up on full life support.  The machines were taking every breath for him.  Tim was not breathing at all on his own.  Later that day in Truama Unit they hooked up brain waves, Tim was brain dead.  In the morning the hospital called when I went home to shower & change asking me to come back with the family.  They had already determined my precious son gone > "Clinically Brain dead" at 10:45 (they did it right after I left) We waited for as many people as we could & said our "see ya later's" then had them remove all machines & tubes to allow Tim to passed with dignity & so we could see his face.  It took an hr before Tim's heart stopped....
Tim never passed from Cancer BUT from Cardiac Arrest due to the large amounts of toxic drugs that contradicted one another & NO MONITORING. My world has never been the same & I am on a sole mission to finish what Tim & I started, fufill his dream to educate people as far & wide as possible of the harm the hospitals will do, the harm of "traditional medicine", the lies & questions they won't answer in general to a patient because the Medical Board of Canada doesn't allow them to without reprimand.   All the wigwash propaganda into the Cannabis world, when elsewhere states, provinces, countries are lowering the hammer & have documented proof the benefits to "Alternative treatment"
