Cat Tales Rescue is an all volunteer-based, non-profit organization committed to reducing the homeless, unwanted, and feral cat population of Solano County through promoting low-cost spay/neuter options and educating the public on the importance of spay/neuter.
We advocate the benefits of TNR to control over population and maintain good health of feral cat colonies and educate the public about TNR and proper feral colony management.
We take in abandoned cats from our communities, feral colonies and cats at risk from euthanasia, to the extent of our resources and of foster home availability.
As it is currently kitten season, we are in need of some help. None of our fosters have the hearts to turn away cats or kittens in need, and as a result we are very over-run with kitties! On 7/14/14, a 7 week old kitten was rescued from a bike path in Vacaville, CA. His name is Schwinn. Upon finding him, Schwinn's eyes were both gunked shut, his ears full of crud and mites, his little nose stuffed, not to mention he was covered in fleas, and emaciated. After cleaning what we could, we realized that Schwinn's left eye was a goner; it would have to be removed. A surgery like this is extremely costly, and our savings are already at a minimum. Though we are going through with the surgery, because there is no way we could give up on this guy, it is going to majorly impact our budget and what we can do for future kitties. This fundraiser will help to buy medicine, food, and litter, as well as pay for any surgeries or vet visits needed for future cats and kittens.
