Help Publish Divine Progression of Grace

Every devoted Christian wants to make a difference in the lives of others. Sometimes all we lack is the opportunity. Perhaps this is where our visions converge.

I am writing a book titled "The Divine Progression of Grace" which  our ministry will publish. The general idea of the book is that we have made a huge mistake in the Western church by limiting ourselves to a one-dimensional definition of grace. While grace certainly is God's unmerited favor, other facets of grace--such as its transformational and empowering capabilities--dare not be ignored. The work of God always bears fruit and increases when the grace of God is understood in truth (Colossians 1:3-6). The overall effect of abiding in grace is that we grow toward spiritual maturity.

This book--the culmination of over thirty years of study and Christian service--provides a thoughtful and life-changing understanding of how God's grace transforms ordinary people into mature believers who make an extraordinary impact. A few of the key topics are: the multi-faceted nature of grace, fruitfulness as God's definition of success, the contrast between legalism and license, the essence of Christianity, and much more.



I have already completed the rough draft of "The Divine Progression of Grace" and the manuscript is now going through an extensive editing process. If all goes well, we hope to have a completed version in print by Thanksgiving 2014. Our goal is to raise $3000 (or more) to put the book in print and to help fund some other associated expenses of our ministry. I understand that credibility is an issue with these types of things so below is a brief overview of my ministry history:

I have a B.S. Degree in Chemistry from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), but left the field to serve as a campus minister at IUP. At its peak, our ministry had only about 40-45 students, but we saw God do a major transforming work in many lives. After 16+ years on campus, my wife, Debi, and I founded Search for Me Ministries, Inc. (SfMe Ministries) in 2006 as a grass roots resource ministry to help form and equip a generation of word changers for Christ. Since that time, we have been busy painstakingly establishing the ministry, setting up our own publishing arm (SfMe Media), and producing teaching resources.

In the 17 years since I left my full-time lab position, we've done virtually no fundraising. God has provided each step of the way, but our low income has slowed the pace of our ministry efforts considerably. Although we will continue with a no pressure approach to fundraising, we believe that God is now leading us to expand our efforts. Your participation in this labor of love will help us to produce and promote "The Divine Progression of Grace" with a "ministry first" approach.
