Kitkat wants to 'Save Our Strays'

On 21st July 2013, a little fur ball made its way into our hearts and our home. He was abandoned by his family and left to fend for himself amid dogs and rats; this and facing the full force of the monsoons! Today this lovely ball of fur is sleeping on his plush bed lying next to me in Seattle. We all know him as ‘Kitkat’. As he turns 1 on 21st July we look back at the adventurous and fun filled first year he's had including his 30 hour flight across the world.
While we are super grateful and happy to have Kitkat in our lives, it makes us sad to see so many stray cats in India whose plight goes unnoticed and die short and cruel deaths. One of the few organizations that provides hope and help to such strays in Kitkat's hometown of Mumbai is Save Our Strays(MUMBAI) [www.saveourstraysmumbai.org]
Save our Strays (Mumbai) tries to focus on sterilization, vaccination, healthcare and adoption for stray dogs and cats. It is a non-profit NGO started and run by animal lovers and one of the programs they've started recently is the "9 Lives Project" (Here’s a video that tells us in details about the project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMjXxuulKvQ )
They're still short of funds though and Kitkat is seeking your help for his furry friends so that they can have better and healthy lives while awaiting adoption (Although he does hope that the sweet people of Mumbai will adopt our feline friends and give them their forever homes!).
We are hoping that you will open up your purse strings to raise money and spread the word so that the cats of Mumbai can hope to lead better lives—all nine of them! :) Any amount helps ….just please have a heart and donate! Help Kitkat celebrate his first birthday by giving back to his brethren! :)
