Hi! We're the DeMatteo family (Todd, Kate, Brayden & Callen). :) Brayden is 4 1/2, and Callen is 2. We're embarking on the beautiful journey of adoption. We always knew we wanted a family of 5, but due to some horrifying medical issues that took place after birthing Callen, Kate can no longer deliver babies. In fact, she needed round-the-clock-care for several months after Callen was born, due to physical issues that stemmed from her delivery. It was a very difficult time for our family, but we thank God every day that we got through it with His grace, and we are now stronger than ever. There was an amazing amount of spiritual growth during that time. Her inability to deliver a baby hasn't stopped us from growing our family, though. We are so excited to have the opportunity to adopt a baby and complete our family.
Adoption costs approximately $25,000. We'd like to explain where those dollars go, so that you'll understand the cost.

Home Study $2,000
Administrative & Educational Fees $3,000
Total Due Upon Home Study is $5,000 (includes above fees)
Remaining balance of $19,350 due upon placement of a child in our family.
We will start applying for grants after the home study is completed. Right now we have a short waiting period because we've changed churches & need to be established members in the church we currently attend. We're in the process of becoming members. Our current goal is to raise the $5,000 needed for our Home Study. One step at a time, right?
We will be fundraising like crazy! :) We plan to host a pancake breakfast, spaghetti dinner, an Italian Ice fundraiser at a local shop, sell cookie dough, host a silent auction, donation giveaways, set up a coffee fundraiser through justlovecoffee, and anything else we can come up with to raise the funds needed to bring home a baby and complete our family. God will guide us through. With your generosity & prayers, we can make this happen.
