broke in more than one way...

ew. i feel like i am publically shaming myself by asking for help. -___-

so! hi. guess who doesnt have health insurance? and guess who broke their hand? long story short; i was pushed and i fell. whichever way i ended up landing, it resulted in a broken scaphoid bone, which is the bone between your thumb and wrist and has extremely poor blood circulation, therefore takes forever to heal on its own, if it even does. which is why, as a bartender, i needed to have surgery immediately and have a screw placed in the bone to help the process along quicker.

i had surgery june 18th, which was horrifying to say the least.. i dont do needles well, let alone IV's, nerve blocks, BEING CUT OPEN AND HAVING A SCREW PUT IN MY BONE. and yes, i know what youre thinking. TATTOOS ARE NOT THE SAME!! i cant stress that enough.

so, the out come of my lovely bad luck; my bank account has since dwindled and i am at a stand still of bill pay for my active life (rent/gas/h20/phone,etc.) vs. medicial bills. i had my credit limit raised on my exisiting credit card and i got a second card with no intrest to help filter the second wave of bills. helllllooooo debt!

rothman institute would not even book my surgery appointment without recieving $2,000.00 up front, on the spot. so, byebye money. i paid that out of pocket. then the morning of my surgery i was fortuniate enough to swipe my credit card for a nice $1,976.00 as well. and exactly one week after my surgery i recieved my bill from the anesthesiologist, which is $1,110.00 .. and i have a few thousand more coming my way very soon as well along with every follow up doctors appointment being from $150-$300 each, which is paid at the time of my appointments.

if in any way, shape or form i could possibly kill 3k of the expensives, espically what is currently sitting on my credit card, i would be slightly less stressed out about things. i really wish i could offer you all something in exchange for helping me if you chose to. i can walk your dogs, hang out with you and tell you boring stories or complain, clean your house, give you life advice (dont take it). idk!

i thought ive been at "rock bottom" before, but outwardly asking for help is my newest low. i hate needing other people, even with a broken hand i have been refusing to ask for physical help. but i do love you all and i appreciate anything i will recieve. annnnnnnnnd, now im crying cause im embarassed. so thank you all very much, please have a great day!
