STATUE OF DR. BENJAMIN E. MAYS

Donation protected
The Dr. Benjamin E. Mays Historical Preservation Site was dedicated on Apr 26, 2011 in Greenwood, S.C., the place of Dr. Mays' birth.  Amb. Andrew Young gave the Keynote Address and Dr. Samuel Dubois Cook, Dr. Mays' eulogist, also addressed the crowd numbering around 1000.    The site consists of his  birth home, the Mays Museum, and a one-room schoolhouse identical to Dr. Mays' childhood Brickhouse School.   WE NEED TO PLACE A SEVEN FOOT BRONZE STATUE OF DR. MAYS ON SITE SIMILAR TO HIS STATUE AT MOREHOUSE COLLEGE.   Once the statue is in place, the site will be complete.

PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO HELP US MAKE THIS A REALITY.     WE EARNESTLY AND HUMBLY ASK ALL OMEGA FRATERNITY,  MOREHOUSE MEN, AND OTHERS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS VERY WORTHY PROJECT. ALSO, PLEASE VISIT THE MAYS HISTORIC SITE IN GREENWOOD,  SC,WHICH IS DEDICATED TO HONOR THE MEMORY AND PERPETUATE THE MIGHTY LEGACY OF DR. BENJAMIN E. MAYS.
