Today I share my story...the good the bad the ugly..and the beauty of Gods grace. My childhood was that of neglect due to mothers mental illness. It was not her fault but it was how life was. I was molested as a child at the hands of a friends grandfather. I was sexually assaulted at 15 by my best friends brother. I then married my 1st husband. When he was clean and sober he was a good man...when not he was brutal. I've had a gun held to my face, was thrown into walls and furniture, a knife to my throat and strangled til I stopped kicking. He battled mental illness also. I still have love for the good man and miss the good man. Then married a second time. I carried into this marriage a broken soul, damaged and scarred. He was perfect in his own eyes. He sought out my vulnerabilities and fed on them. He saw himself as the hero, often referring to himself as captain save-a-hoe. I think he may have actually wanted to be that hero, but was incapable of the kindness required. I will not say he is not a good person, just not a good husband. I would take verbal and emotional lashings from him. He broke my spirit.

Today I turn that page. I am not a victim, I am a survivor. By Gods grace I am saved. By his mercy I am redeemed. The vision he has given me is a gift that I will forever treasure.

Over the next few months I will begin establishing a community for women from abusive relationship. Safe Harbor Tiny Home Project. I found myself economically impaired when I left both marriages. Unable to support myself and unable to move forward. This project will allow these women a place to call home. A place of peace and rest. A place to build their future. Please join me in making this a reality. Please "like" my page "Safe Harbor Tiny Home Project" and share with everyone you know. These women deserve a chance for a peaceful life.

I am currently homeless because of a failed marriage. I am bouncing between my dads and my childrens homes. All I want is a place I can call home. My plan is to convert the shed in the photo into a tiny home, equipped with solar panels, water storage system, and composting toilet. I would mainly be off-grid although I will have electric hookup for backup and water connections. It will just be me and my dog "Coot" so the size is just perfect for us. I want to plant my own vegetable garden and fruit trees too. I am desperate for a place to call my own, a place to be my HOME.
