Local Man Burned In Explosion

Donation protected
On July 9, 2014, an explosion rocked Robertson County, Texas, when an oil tank exploded.  Cameron McDonald, 25, from Adna, WA was critically injured in the blast while working on the tank.  He was flown to a hospital in Houston, TX, where he will be undergoing operations.  He has severe burns and punctures to his face, head and neck, every bone in his face was crushed, broken legs, etc.  Cameron's mother and brother are at his side, but his sister, Christalle Lynn, is at home in Washington, not able to afford the cost of the flight.  We are hoping to raise a minimum of $600 for Christalle's flight, and anything that is received over the first $600 will go directly to Cameron.  I'm sure his bills will be astronomical after he is released from the hospital.

Update:  Since we have far surpassed our original goal of sending Christalle to Texas to be with Cameron, I have changed our goal to $10,000.  Christalle is with her family in Texas now, supporting her brother in this time of trial.  We have realized that the power of YOU is far more than we'd realized, so now our goal is $10,000.  $650 has gone towards Christalle's flight.  The rest will go directly to Cameron, to use at his discretion.  He will have huge bills and needs when he is released from the hospital.

Update:  We have far surpassed our original goal of $600 for a flight for Christalle to go to Texas to be with her brother.  Yea, kudos and many, many thanks to all who have read this, shared, donated, prayed or in any way spent time in support of this family!  Cameron is doing way better than I had expected, he's out of ICU already, is walking a bit, and has an upbeat attitude despite his considerable injuries.  Christalle's airfare went up by nearly $100 right as I was booking, (thanks to tracking cookies, I'm sure) so the total was $650.  As of this writing, we have received $1465 on this site, plus at least another $200 in cash donations.  After paying for the flight, every bit of profit from your efforts will go directly into Cameron's hands for his needs, however he sees fit.  After he is handed a check (or checks) it is his business how he chooses to spend it.  I just know he will have huge needs.

Thank you to each one of you that has helped this family in any way.  I urge you to continue sharing this link and passing the word.  It's my hope that this will go viral.  I think money is the last thing this young man should have to worry about!
