Boone County Youth Orchestra (IN)

The Boone County Youth Orchestra, located in Lebanon, Indiana, was established in 2009 as a one day festival.  Since then, the orchesta has expanded to two six week sessions each year and has served more than 150 student and adult musicians.

BCYO is a "side-by-side" orchestra, where experienced musicians rehearse and perform with students as a way to mentor, encourage, and engage those either new to music or simply learning something new.  BCYO is a teaching orchestra, providing many new musicians (both young and young at heart!) their first opportunity to perform with a full orchestra. Lebanon, IN does not have an orchestra program within its public schools.  BCYO combines students of the concert band programs with local string students from other area schools or private lesson programs.

To support this growth opportunity, BCYO is currently raising funds for the following goals:

-Establish BCYO as a 501(c)3   ($400 fee)
- Purchase new music, Increase our music library
- Advertising costs for recruiting & concert promotion
- Support of masterclasses & workshops for BCYO

These goals will allow us to:

- Apply for grants and allow for tax-deductible contributions
- Attract more musicians with a diverse musical library and engage audiences with a variety of genres.
- Offer this orchestra to many students that do not have an opportunity to perform in public.
- Support local adult musicians & teachers, both professionally & financially

We now have incentives for donations of $25 or more. Please note that if you give at a higher level, you will also receive incentives at all lower levels. All donations on or after July 7, 2017 will count toward these benefits, and incentives are valid for one performance session (either Fall or Spring).

Encore Club ($25-$99)
- Your name or business name in the concert program.

Principal Players ($100-$499)
- Your name or logo on the BCYO website until the next concert session.  This may be linked to your personal or business website, if you choose.

Standing Ovation ($500-$999)
- Your name or logo on all flyers (max. size of flyer 8.5x11”) and posters (11x17”)

Title Sponsor ($1000+)
- A sponsor banner and/or sign to be displayed at the event in a highly visible area such as the music performance area
- Verbal recognition during the concert
- One Title Sponsor organization representative may use the microphone to welcome the crowd during the session concert and say a few words about the organization (one minute or less). Note: If BCYO receives more than one donation of $1000+ during a six month period, only the FIRST donor will receive this benefit.
