BC Superhero Portrait Project

Donation protected
Local Twin Cities Artist Barbara Porwit created the Breast Cancer Superhero Portrait Project when a number of her friends were diagnosed with cancer. In a series of six larger-than-life portraits, Barbara portrays them as powerful, yet playful, figures.

The Breast Cancer Superhero Portrait Project is now profiled in the February 2015 issue of Minnesota Women's Press, with an upcoming exhibit at Regla De Oro – Gallery & Fair Trade Gifts, from March 17 through April 26, 2015. There will be a reception at the Gallery on Saturday, March 21 when 10% of all sales in the shop and gallery will be donated to the Angel Foundation, which provides financial support to cancer patients locally.

The goal of the project is to celebrate and inspire the heroic nature of those affected by Breast Cancer. We'd like to to increase the number of portraits we're able to create in the future, and ensure the project's financial sustainability.

We're raising $4,500 to create a line of Breast Cancer Superhero Portrait Project merchandise (t-shirts, totes, posters, cards, hats, mugs, and magnets). Funds from the sale of this merchandise will be reinvested in the growth of the project and continued support of Breast Cancer survivors and their families.

We want to have this merchandise ready for the Angel Foundation fundraiser at Regla De Oro Gallery by March 17, will you donate today?
