Help Koda come home

 Koda is our 1 and a half year old Australian Shepard mix. He is nothing but a big baby made of love. Sunday morning Koda's face started swelling. That evening we took him to the emergency vet clinic where they told us it was a bug sting. The next day the swelling was worsthis skin was as red as a tomato. We took him back and they then said it was a snake bite but could not find any bites. Come Tuesday morning, Koda's whole body was swollen and was not able to walk and stopped eating and drinking. We took him in to the regular vet where they ran blood work and hospitalized him putting him on fluids and diphenhydramine. The vet came to the conclusion that it was poison. His platelets are almost non existent and his blood is not able to clot the way it should. We are not even half way to recovery and I have asked the vet if euthanasia might be an option at his point but the vet told me that he strongly feels that Koda can pull from this but it might take some time. I am asking for donations to help us with medical costs. We are a family of 6 and did not have money set aside for such things as this. I never thought my dog would ever get poisoned. Any little bit will help and would be greatly appreciated beyond words. Some people might say "it's just a dog" but Koda is a part of our family and has giving us so much joy. I hope he can live longer and be able to enjoy the life he was given. He is a great joy and comfort to our family and anyone who meets him can tell that the only thing he really loves to do is to just love on people and other animals he meets.   Thank you, The Speaks family
