Owner-Trained Service Dog

Hi, everyone!

As some of you who know me may already be aware (and some of you don't!), I am working towards getting a service dog!

I have been diagnosed with Acute Anxiety Disorder with Panic and Agorophobia; if that sounds like a lot, believe me - it is.  I've been taking steps in the past couple of years to make my life, and the lives of those who share it with me, better: medication, therapy, and now this, my next step.

I have been approved for and am working with UDS Service Dogs over the past several months, and I'm getting ready to move forward into the program. I am in the owner-trained program, which allows me to get hands-on with my future service dog. However, insurance doesn't really cover these sorts of ventures.

I'm not usually one to ask for help, but this is a costly endeavor (for both the program and the pup), and one that I think could greatly benefit me and my health. I am excited to move forward with the program, and look forward to how it can change my life. Every little bit counts, and I'm ready for it. :)
