Thank you for visiting our campaign. We are trying to save our ice in Augusta, Ga. It is the home to many skaters, figure skating and hockey players, young and old, recreational and competitive, students and coaches. We are reaching out for help, at this time our rink is under contract for purchase and this company is choosing not to continue the facility as an ice rink. The option to purchase would be in excess of $2 million and is too high of a cost to keep the current building in operation, but we want to save the equipment vital to sustaining and maintaining the ice surface that is currently at the rink. We are raising money to save what we can in the building and hopefully have the financial backing to keep our ice in Augusta. So many of us have poured our hearts and souls into our sports and this is a home away from home. We will happily accept any donation no matter the size, $1 will do! Every dollar earned is a another glimmer of hope to save our ice. In the event we are unable to raise enough funds to retain our rink or salvage our equipment, your donations will go to the US Figure Skating Memorial Fund and the USA Hockey Foundation so may we pass our love for these sports on. This would be our legacy for the skaters of the Augusta Ice Sports Center, to share the joy of skating.
