Baby Hurless x2

Don protégé
Courtney and Eric Hurless have had quite a journey in their dreams of having a baby. I, Jill DeWert, a friend, have set this up in hopes of lessening their financial burden. This was completely my idea and effort, with nothing from Courtney & Eric but their blessing. I am getting nothing from this, but the satisfaction of helping friends. All money (less the 5% fee from GoFundMe and 2.9% from WePay) will go straight to them.
If you prefer saving them the 5%/2.9% reduction, or are not comfortable donating online, you can send mail to them if you know their address (or contact me for it), or use the following address:
Jill DeWert, P.O. Box 13, Van Wert, OH 45891
Please do not send cash or gift cards in the mail, in case it is lost. Checks are ok, if you are comfortable with that. Money orders are the securest to mail, and also allow for anonymity. Please make checks or money orders out to Eric Hurless.

Short story is, following many years of no intervention, to moderate intervention, and, finally, extreme intervention of three rounds of IVF, Courtney is pregnant with twins. She is currently on modified bedrest following some very serious and scary bleeding. The girls are strong and fine. However, two precious lives are still on the line and Courtney will have to remain on bedrest until April 2015. Her FMLA ran out in December '14 and will not reset until March '15. Their insurance doesn't pay anything for IVF. The average costs  of IVF are substantial. A fresh cycle runs about $12,000, plus $3,000 to $6,000 for medications. A frozen cycle runs about $3,000 to $5,000. Courtney & Eric have been through two fresh cycles and one frozen. For those of you like me who can't tally in your head, that's about $12,000 (fresh) + $5,000 (meds) + $4,000 (frozen) + $3,000 (meds) + $12,000 (fresh) + $5,000 (meds) = (a whopping) $41,000. These are not their actual numbers, but a rough estimate for you to have an idea of the costs. My own personal pregnancy, labor, and delivery was not extreme, but not smooth, and even included an unplanned C-Section and only ran me a couple thousand. Between getting pregnant and Courtney having to be off work, I cannot imagine this financial strain hanging over them.
Yes, they have a roof over their head, and food on the table, but the financial aspect is still a large strain. They presently have and previously had so much stress in this journey. They've been through so much in bringing life into this world, I would love to see their financial burden lessened.
Both Courtney and Eric are blessed with full-time, stable jobs. They continue to work diligently in between medical appointments and emergencies. Courtney's income will be reduced while on Short Term Disability, however. Normal maternity leave is expected, planned. Not this. This is life altering.
