A life gone too soon...
Victoria, or "Tori" and Hector met in high school, but it was not quite love at first sight! Not exactly falling in love in high school, Tori and Hector's true love story would begin later... 3 years ago, when they saw each other in a different light, and fell deeply in love. Young and in love, like many in their youth, their lives came with a bit of trouble and a few poor choices, but thankfully, coming from loving, Christian homes, they were blessed with support and guidance throughout their lives.
By God's grace and through his mysterious ways, they were blessed in June 2014 with a pregnancy that would turn both of their lives around; providing a beautiful light for their future. Tori and Hector found out they were expecting a baby girl, due to make her arrival in February 2015. Through this discovery, their love grew... both emotionally and spiritually, as God continued to work in their lives, mending their families, hearts, hurts, and broken relationships.
Everyone who knew them knew that Tori and Hector had a young love! Even after three years together, they always preferred to be at each others side, always. Truly, they were each others best friend. It was clear that they loved each other immensely and could not wait to become parents to their sweet daughter. The two of them, beginning their family together, had never been happier - even proclaiming that things were "too good to be true".
Unfortunately, shortly after, the unimaginable happened. Tragedy struck last Thursday night when Tori discovered Hector's car had been wrapped around a utility pole in a horrific car accident. Even more tragically, Tori was the one to discover the accident. His accident was only seconds from the home that they shared, that they loved, that they were waiting excitedly to bring their baby girl home to.
Before this terrible tragedy, they were both employed in the restaurant business. Hector was a manager where he was loved and adored by his employer and customers alike. Tori works as well, but was recently advised by her doctor to cut her work hours drastically, as she nears the end of her pregnancy. Because of this horrific loss, Tori must leave the home she loves so much, leave the memories she made and shared with Hector, and move back to her parents home, as she prepares for the birth of her daughter, without the love of her life.
The pain and loss for Tori, their families and close-knit friends, is immense, as you can imagine. Anything you can spare is such a tremendous blessing to Tori and their baby, and will go towards the preparation and expenses of bringing a beautiful baby into the world.
Above all, please pray for Tori. For strength, her health and the baby's health, her heart, her fears, and her state of mind throughout the remainder of her pregnancy and as she learns to adjust to a new normal. Please pray for the family and friend's who feel this loss and void in their lives. Pray that through her family's memories, their daughter will know and feel her father's love.
