Help David Get To Africa

First let me thank you for reading this and supporting me as I support my students (both former and present). I have a former student who is a upcoming Sophomore at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Maryland. David is the oldest of four. He currently lives with his father and his step-mom. I met David as a 7th grader who was repeating the 7th grade. When I met him back in December 2010, I thought that he was just another average angry student. I would pull David out of class for small group support. In two years, David became my favorite student. For one great reason, his dedication and. I have watched him overcome many different obstacles. He has looked up to me to guide him and support him throughout these last 4 years of knowing him.

Now David has the opportunity to travel to Cape Town and Johannesburg, Africa this September. He has spent the beginning of the summer gathering money for this journey. As many know or can imagine, this is no cheap trip. I am asking that my friends and family assist in this effort by subsidizing some of his expenses. I would appreciate how ever much you choose to contribute.
