Short Summary
Hey! I am Stephen McGuire and a little over a year and a half ago I nearly died. What was supposed to be a routine Gall Bladder removal turned out to be a bit more. But after some time in the hospital and some blood transfusions I was on my way to recovery. But laying in the hospital bed and facing my own mortality gave me a great deal to think about and it was during this time that I realized I was going down a path I knew would lead to destruction. So I came back after a long struggle, to Christ. More specifically I found my home in the Episcopal Church. That is when I decided to chronicle my journey, my thoughts and my feelings and experiences on CajunEpiscopalian.com

At the time that I founded the website I was working for an American Call Center BPO and funding was not an issue. However currently due to health issues and the local job market I am running into a bit of a snag. That is where you come in!

What We Need
What we are needing is just $500 to keep everything running as is for another year. Currently the website is being hosted through Wordpress.com and that is what is really crippling us in terms of advertising and monetization of the site.

To bring it over to a host and registrar who will give a lot of freedom for revenue creation will cost us $7.99 for the transfer (and beings we have chosen GoDaddy as our new home it will give us an additional year registration for our domain) plus Blog Hosting through them for $119.88 a year (9.99 a month).

In terms of email, because we hosted through Windows Live Mail we had completely free business email. However this year Microsoft said they will no longer be doing email hosting through live but instead are only doing Custom Domain hosting through Office 365. They have extended to those of us who are being forced to migrate, 90 days of complimentary service. Outside of the 90 days we will need funding to maintain our email which is critical for keeping in touch with publishers and others who do business with our site. This cost is $150 annually.

We are looking to adopt a new theme for the site and have found a working theme that we think will increase our functionality that costs $70.00 and is a one time fee.

Additionally we would like to be able to upgrade our social media platform, Hootsuite, so we can continue to grow our online presence and be able to increase productivity. The upgrade will be 8.99 a month or 107.88 annually.

If we could meet our $500 dollar goal we will be able to stay afloat another year. This will allow us to secure advertisers and maintain funding via that for the foreseeable future.
