Help us help Cheddar

Cheddar is a one year old Pitbull mix who was hit by a car in early May then taken to a local shelter. From there, Cheddar was taken into a foster home through HEART Animal Rescue & Adoption Team. There was extensive damage done to his leg from being hit by the car so shortly after arriving at HEART he was taken to a veterinary orthopedic specialist. Many radiographs were taken to verify that Cheddar did not have any broken bones. What he does have is a sub-luxated (dislocated) carpus (wrist). This will require a costly surgery to repair his leg. The radiographs, surgery & post-op care will cost over $3,000.
Cheddar is a sweet, fun loving boy who's smile is utterly contagious. He loves everyone he has meet, including cats & other dogs. Cheddar is kennel trained & house broken. He will be neutered & current on vaccinations before being adopted. He will be up for adoption in about 2 1/2 months.
HEART prides themselves on helping the "under-dog." Unfortunately, this kind of care requires funding which HEART receives only from donations & fundraising. If you can, please make a donation...every dollar counts! You can also help by spreading the word about Cheddar & about HEART.
