The Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program trains educators to use proven practices in order to prepare students for post secondary success.
Last year, we received monetary donations from various companies within our community:
Audi
Sweet Frog
Chipotle
In addition to these organizations, many family members and friends
provided monetary donations which paid for the salary of college tutors and financial assistance for students to attend our scheduled field trips to local colleges.
We are pleased to share with you that we were able to meet all of our goals last year; however we must continue a positive trajectory. This year's theme, "Leading with a Legacy in Mind" will reaffirm that our AVID students are leaders in developing a growth mindset as it relates to their postsecondary success.
In order for this to happen, we need your support. Our program does not receive any funds from our school district, as a result we are forced to work extremely hard to find funding that will help us to carry out our initiatives.
On behalf of the AVID students, parents and staff, we would love for you to become one of our supporters. All monetary donations are welcomed and we will be highly obliged to you for your support.
