Help Avail Fight Feline Mammary Cancer

Avail
is a 13 y/o former stray kitty that miraculously (with the aid of my
sister) ended up in my arms when I was 17. She's managed to somehow
pull through all of her medical issues: diabetes, asthma, cystitis,
allergies...only to be diagnosed with feline mammary cancer.
Avail has gone through 3 surgeries and multiple oncology appointments since July 2012. The cost of all of the care so far is 3983$ Our credit cards have been maxed out trying to make sure she has the best care. The vets told us this time last year, that this wouldn't end well and that she would not be around in a year. Not only is Avail still here, but she has been doing absolutely amazing, thank you to some wonderful veterinarians and veterinarian techs. Her health is amazing, her appetite is amazing, her level of activity is high...no one would ever know that she even has cancer. While her initial prognosis wasn't what we wanted to hear, what we hear now is that she is defying the odds. She is a walking talking (or meowing!) miracle. All we aim to do is give her all of the love in the world and the greatest chance at continuing to live her incredibly spoiled life.
As you know, care for your sick fuzzy one can be expensive. So I've made this page because some of my friends thought it would be a good idea to accept donations to help out with Avail's medical expenses. I can't thank you enough for helping out, there aren't words for the level of gratitude we have for your kindness.
I feel as if I should tell you a little bit about us. My husband and I are both students now that he has been PTS'd out of the military. He works part time, goes to school full time, and I go to school as well. We share one car, so this itself is very difficult. We have been living off of savings so he is able to go to school full-time to work towards getting his degree in computer science. We've been struggling financially since his release from the military but still strive to give our kitties the best care that we can. They aren't just pets to us, they are our children and we give everything we possibly can to them. We've fallen on hard times like many others, so we're not very different from others out there, we just need help to get through this.
I thank anyone who feels that Avail is a worthy enough cause and that we are good enough fur parents to be deserving of your help. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
