I'd like to give a little background first...
My mom is one of the most important and amazing people in my life. She's supported, nurtured, and loved me my entire life. She’s always put everybody else's needs above her own, going as far as quitting her job to be a full time carer for my grandma who has had a stroke, a heart attack, and is now dealing with Alzheimer’s. Even though I'm her only child she backed me 100% when I moved out of the country to be with my husband.
On June 27th, my mom was admitted into the hospital with leg pains. We were told that it was going to be a simple fix. They'd put a stint into one of her arteries, and everything would be fine.
After many ups and downs, including developing ARDS (ACUTE Respiratory Distress Syndrome) we've been told that she'll need extensive rehabilitation to be able to walk normally again.
Since quitting her job to take care of my grandma full time, she hasn't been able to afford health insurance. I'm looking to raise enough money to cover the hospital bills and the work that will be needed to convert her house to her new needs.
Any help we could receive would be greatly appreciated.
