Founded in 1994 by Charles Wynott and Jon Piefer as
Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS/MAINE) an AIDS service organization. Board of Directors has changed the name to honor Jon who has passed with AIDS.
Services now include advocacy for Key West AIDS Homeless Inititive.
We act as a resource to patients in need of caregivers and advocacy and support. We are a group of VOLUNTEERS founded by a long term AIDS survivor we are patients too- no one in this organization gets paid for the many hours they put in each week. We would love to have you join us as one of those dedicated volunteers. Second, we do not have a facility, nor do we receive any government or city funding. So, no paid staff and no funding and no building....we work from home on our own dimes on our own
