WHO AM I?
I'm Sky McLeod. I am an undergraduate Film Student at UC Santa Cruz. I'm legally blind and make movies, it's a weird combination but I wouldn't want it any other way. I've been making movies since I was ten years old and I've been going blind since I was five, so I have a lot of practice with both. I also travel whenever, wherever, and always. I've been to 23 countries and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
I will be going to Cuenca, Ecuador and spending 10 weeks making a short documentary about a group or organization that is creating change in their enviornment. This is part of the Media Impact Internship with Actuality Media.
WHAT DOES THE MONEY GO TO?
I need to book a flight to Ecuador, pay for the program, pay for food and other eminities (though lodging is part of the program) while I'm there and purchase supplies before I leave. It's a lot of stuff that adds up to a lot of dollar signs.
