Assistance for David Blackburn

In February of this year, David Blackburn sustained a tragic fall when he slipped on an icy patch outside of his apartment.  That fall caused David to rupture the tendons on not one but BOTH of his quadricep muscles, rendering him completely unable to walk.  After surgery to repair the tendons, several weeks in the hospital and months of physical thereapy David has not only managed to walk again in record time, but he has also started working again at the job that he truly loves: coaching children and adults of all ages in musical productions and musically directing the current season for his theatre company, Austin Theatre Project.   Although David is well on his way to physical healing, he now has many, many outstanding bills that need to be paid for his medical treatment.  As a free-lance musician, David currently has no medical insurance.  Many of his medical fees were written off to charity, but he still owes the doctors and hospitals a small percentage of the total that was spent on his medical care.  David has many, many friends who have expressed an interest in helping in some way, and this willingness to help is what inspired his friends to put this account together on David's behalf.  If you feel it in your heart to make a small contribution to David's fund, please know that your contribution will be going directly to help pay David's medical bills.  David Blackburn has helped so many people over the course of his long musical career, and we are hoping that some of you might find it in your hearts to return a gesture of friendship by making a contribution to this fund.  This is a legitimate fund....please check with David directly to verify the authenticity of this account.  Many thanks.....any amount wil help!
