My Last Dream

Hi my name is Lauren Cole, i live in Bournemouth, England. I know Alec through his family, and after hearing his story, i wanted to try and help him achieve his dream. Alec's story is below and all funds raised will be used for the trip. Due to Alec's condition his travel insurance is very high and the travel needs are very complex. Any money raised over what is needed will be donated to Jack's Place (a hospice). All the money coming through the GoFundMe page will be directly deposited into Alec's bank account. Now that we have reached £5000 amd alex can not withdraw the funds himself. I now have to withdraw the funds into my own account and then transfer the funds to alecs bank. I will make all transfers the same day i receive them in my bank. Hi my name is Alec, i am 22 years old and live with a condition called N F Type 1, whole gene deletion. I suffer from epilepsy and have have learning difficulties. I had my first tumour removed at just 19months old which was on my brain. And have had a very up and down life since that day.  with my condition no 2 days are the same. Last year (december 2016) i started to get a pain in my right lower leg. After a cocktail of tests the doctors discovered i had a tumour in my lower abdomen, which was growing into my femoral nerve. I had this tumour removed this year (october 2017) for the doctors to discover i have Grade 3 cancer. I now have 3 monthly scans and xrays at The Royal Marsdens in London, as doctors have said the cancer will eventually spread to my lungs. Unfortunatley there isnt much more the doctors can do for me, other than keep me as comforable as possible, and try to give me as much time as possible.  My dream is to go to Harry Potter world in America. Because of my age, there is no funding at all to help me get there, so this is where i need your help. My family are amazing and support me in every way possible, but due to my condition, travelling comes at a very high price. I need to raise £10,000 to allow me to get to harry potter world, as you can imagine, travel insurance will take a good chunk of this. As i said above, we do not know how much time i have, so if possible, we are aiming to go around February 2018, and will therefore need as many donations and shares as possible. If in the unfortunate event that i do not make it to america, all funds raised at that point wil be donated to Jack's Place. This hospice has provided such amazing care and support to me and my family, and is where i will spend my last days, when the time comes.  Thanks you for taking the time to read my story. Unfortunately Alec's cancer has returned and is very aggressive, which means sadly there is nothing more the doctors can do for him other than try to control his pain as much as possible. Doctors have predicted Alec has approximately 8 weeks left. Because of this Florida is no longer an option. We would now like to use the funds to fulfil Alec's bucket list. The funds will be used to: Visit harry potter studios in london. Be a keeper for the day at a local zoo. A holiday to butlins. And then possibly use some funds towards the cost of Alec's funeral. There will still be funds left over so anything not used for the above will be donated to Jack's Place as originally planned.
