I am asking for your support , for the past few months I have been busy pitching for funding in Vancouver BC Canada to meet the needs of the talented Haitian artists I have devoted my life and resouces to for the past four and a half years.
I realized in the new year that returning to Vancouver for the past few months was a critical step to take after living fulltime in Haiti for the past few years. I needed to re-connect, heal, rest and take the oppourtunity to share my vision with others. I have been working hard to ensure long term sustainability ,achieve my ministy goals and continue to build the vision.
I am pleased to report I have been able to recruit,train and work alongside a small committed team of educated Vancouver based artists,sound engineers, event planners and producers to bring into Haiti in January 2015.
It is through the process of knowledge transfer and connecting the resources Canadians have been blessed with that I can continue my work in Haiti.
My artists are in need of tools, my artists are in need of training and continued skills development.
October 1st 2014 Mission & Goals:
October 15th 2014 I will be leaving Vancouver Canada to head back home to Haiti to initiate a very important and critical mission for our Haitian artists. After I achieve my goals and objectives I will be returning to Vancouver to showcase the evidence/documentation to potential corporate sponsors to obtain the much needed overhead for my artists to move forward.
I will be :
Documenting the stories/bio's of our talented Haitian artists and developing the 2015 workflow availability schedule for subcontracting
i.e.Who are they? What is their current living situation? What are their current personal needs? What training can we provide them to come along side them for long term sustainability?...
This will help me to :
Create the 2015 budget for Nehemiah's programmes & workshops
Share the stories of Nehemiah's talented marginalized artists with others and secure additional sub contracts for my artists through my socially responsible company www.limagemedia.com
Obtain the necessary information needed to provide to supporters with continued transparency & accountability.
Raise the funds required to provide additional tools for my artists ( equipment , 2015 training center budget , funds for workshops and instructors ).
Obtain new sponsorships for my work in Haiti to cover one years rent on a new training facility opening January 2015 in Petionville Haiti.
I am currently raising funds to pay for ground expenses in Haiti for the October mission. I have been paying out of pocket for a majority of the overhead for the past four years with trickles of support here and there, but I cant continue this way and need you to join in and help me to help others as I have clearly showcased over the years.
I need your continued support to come along side these amazing, talented and marginalized Haitian artists to give them a voice through their art.
I am committed to providing my artists with the proper tools, training and support in the arts to break the cycle of poverty through skills development and a foundation of self-empowered sustainability.
