Arlington Memorial Reef

Donation protected

Our world has many problems, two of whch are ground water polution and natural reefs dying off. Over three million people were buried last year in the U.S. and each one of them were pumped full of toxic chemicals that over time leach into our ground water. In the U.S. alone over 820,000 gallons of toxic chemicals were used. Less ground burials means less ground water polution.

Funeral cost have become unaffordable to many famlies and creamation is the fastest growing part of the funeral business, cost being a major factor. The second thing is natural reefs dying off faster than nature can heal.

Almost all ocean front nations have some form of artificial reef progrom going on now. Rarely does one solution cover two problems. With more cremations comes the question of what to do with them. Arlington Memorial Reef works with families and funeral homes nation wide to provide a new and different use of the ashes. Doing something special with the ashes puts a positive twist on a time of mourning. What we do at

Arlington Memorial Reef is make artifical reefs from 500 to 2000lbs. Some of them are donated to various reef  associations for their projects

We offer our services absolutely free of charge to our brave soldiers, airmen and sailors who have given their lives in defense of our country, and we offer a 25% discount to retired veterans.

* Building Process

This helps the ocean start the healing process. Arlington then takes the ashes and makes them into the headstone of their choice. The headstone is made of white marble and stainless steel is then added to a memorial reef making them a permanent revisitable location with GPS. coordinates. Your love one spends eternity surrounded by vibrant, beautiful sealife.

The cost of renting a barge is $5000.00 per day and $300.00 per hour. At this rate we can't place nearly as many memorials as we are able to produce. We have been donated a  62 foot barge to place the reefs as fast as we can make them. The barge needs to be completely refitted ie; pusher and stablizer motors, crane motors, bilge pumps, hydrolics, paint etc. What we're doing for all people who donate is Stainless steel plaques on the barge, a custom reef with all names and a drawing to name the new barge. Building artifical reefs lets the gulf begin to heal and a eternal resting place for your love ones. By chosing to be part of this worthwhile project their passing is helping all future generations to come.

Be a part of the solution and donate what you can.
