ARKings2019 Final Season

Tax deductible
In March of 2011, I and a good friend committed our time to a group of 4th graders in our community. We used our passion for the game of basketball to design a consistent support system for them that includes life skill mentorship, community outreach, and basketball training. We set a goal for all of our athletes to earn an academic and athletic scholarship to play at the next level. Well, seven years and many sacrifices later, I am proud to say we are on track!

The summer sessions of 2018, marks the end of an incredible journey for us. One more summer is all we have left with this incredibly loyal group of young men. We will be traveling to Atlanta, Dallas, Memphis, Las Vegas, and other cities to chase these scholarship opportunities. And this year we will be doing it with a chip on our shoulders!

You see, we’ve been overlooked, for far too long. We are one of the few programs who has done it right the entire time and actually stayed faithful to our athletes/parents, and our athletes/parents to us as well. No quitting, no scamming, always putting the organization first, no matter what the cost. Our head coach turned down a job where he would have made a substantial amount of more money. Why? It would have caused him to relocate and not be able to fulfill his commitment to the guys! Myself, I should be in Atlanta right now with my daughter but I want to finish this last year out with the guys! I can go on and on.

We have sat back and watched people donate to programs who don’t put in half of the work we have with this group. We don’t have a shoe deal, or a major sponsor, or the ability to recruit athletes from other states. Nope. All we have and had is each other. I remember how sorry most of our guys were in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. Nobody wanted them; but we stuck with them! Fast forward a few years later and we are the only traveling team that plays with a group of guys not only from the same city, but from the same high school. And we are winners! As a 16U team last year we played in premier tournaments across the nation and only played up in the 17U divisions; as a 16U team! This year we are expecting great things and national recognition, so remember the name; ARKANSAS KINGS 2019 !

We have to raise $25,000 for this next summer, which is about $10,000 more than our normal operating budget. Why an extra $10,000? Well, there are very important tournaments that take place in Las Vegas in late July. Scouts and recruiters from all over the nation flock to these tournaments in droves. If our goal is to place them in position to earn scholarships, this is an absolute must. At the same time, we still need to compete in the certified tournaments we have competed in before. I’ve witnessed people raise this amount of money and more for way less meaningful reasons. I know you can see the value in what we are doing. So let’s get to it!

The goal is $25,000! We have set up this GoFundMe account so you can help us get there. I am involved in several different programs on a city, state, and national level. However I met you, hopefully you would have learned that this organization is one of my most prized accomplishments and finishing it strong is the only outcome I am willing to accept! Thanks in advance for your donation!
